Ok, I know that's kinda corny..but I'm so stoked that the sun actually graced us with his presence today that I. don't. even. care!!

June 21 is the official first day of Summer. Not that we're counting in this household. Noooo.....
we be like.....

Yes mums, I know I said "We be like"....it wasn't a typo and I did spell check it. It's just a saying.
Alright, moving on.

My live in BB and partner in crime has recently started working out with me lately...and sweating is way more fun with her chattering going on all the while.

Those of you that know me, know that I have chronic Lyme Disease. And the pain and hassle of it all seems to be somewhat checked by me exercising and eating as "clean" and organically as possible.

Sometimes I don't want to eat the way I should because....well I'm SUPPOSED to. Stupid, bloody human nature I know. But the warm weather the last few days has been a kick in the pants to my diet...I'm on track and I'm left wondering why I ever cheat???

Stupid, bloody human nature, I suppose.

In case any of you Dolls have been inspired by the swiftly approaching Summertime as we have, are starting a new exercise routine and diet, or upping the ante on your already existing one, here is some inspiration and tips to help spur you on your way!

Good luck Dolls!

Cuz Dirt and God Won't Hurt....

Can you remember far back enough when grown ups seemed unnaturally TALL? Like giant status tall?
Can you remember being shook gently awake by your mom and bundled up in layers until you couldn't hardly move, the feeling of cold morning air biting your cheeks?
Can you remember the pride you felt in "helping" your dad gather cows, the conspiracy of not telling mom that you heard him yelling at those black bitches?
Can you remember the feeling of hanging from your saddle strings, legs pummeling the air and occasionally connecting with the underside of your horses belly as you tried to reach the stirrups that seemed impossibly high over your head?
Do you remember the irritation of having to feed your bottle calves/4H lambs before breakfast while your town friends got to sleep in on the weekends?
Can you remember the sheer freedom and happiness you felt running your horse hell bent for election when no one was looking?
Yeah? Me too.....here's to the ranch kids.

Here Comes the Sun

And so I'm happy again....just in case you all were wondering. Thanks for all the love notes I got during my rainy time :)

My sister rocks....she never lets me walk alone. She always sticks her hand out, pulls me up and trudges along with me until I can run again. Thanks bud :)

I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUMMER!!!!! I think we're planning a beach trip for the near future...whoop whoop!!

Pink is my favorite color this week....or is it turquoise? Ok, they both are :)

Tomorrow I'm going with A to a photo shoot, where she's modeling western purses...camera battery is charging as we speak, will have some fun ones for you all soon!

Love ya Dolls....spend your weekend with someone who counts <3

Glitter and Skittles

My life still feels like shiat....not gonna lie to you Dolls. You know those really LONG days you get in March where it's as grey as grey can be and it just rains and rains and rains and rains....that's what I feel like inside right now. And even though I feel like nothing will ever be OK again, I know deep down that I'll be all right. I may hurt and I may fall down a few times, but I'll get back up and I'll be OK.

So the sister and I went to Baskin-Robbins and ate double helpings of ice cream.

I painted each of my finger nails a different color.

I've been working out HARD.

I've cried my way through the Notebook and then read every inspirational book I own. Which is quite a lot actually.

Here's some of the pictures I keep pulling up that just seem to make me feel better. What do you girls do to jump yourself outta a slump when things seem hopeless? I'd really LOVE to know!!

Damn....it's Monday

It's funny how it's the little things that make you feel better....

I'm having the worst kind of day today and for those of you who love Audrey Hepburn, you'll know what I mean when I say that I've got the Mean Reds....so you know that it's a bad one.

But some very nice strangers have brought me a little sunshine.....someone randomly bought me a cup of coffee, which is amazing since I managed to forget my wallet and was wanting a cuppa more than anything at that moment.

Someone else randomly told me I look cute in hats...and I'm having a bad hair day...thanks!!!

And to the random person who held open the door for me this morning and actually smiled....a very big thanks. Today may suck....but you guys rock.

Sorry that this was random and weird...I'll post something fantastic soon, I promise!!!!

There were gods there....

What: Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo

Where: Seriously? Pay attention sparky, Winnemucca, Nevada

When: March 2-6, 2011Excitement gathers starting the end of February...Winnemucca is pretty much the kick off for a season of Ranch Rodeos that ends around November.

What to expect: No sleep, not eating for approximately 3 days, loosing your voice, and a sudden appetite for Bloody Marys.

Sightings: Lacey Takacs Thompson singing our Nation's Anthem....that women can belt it out!!

Andrea Mori Sestanovich looking as pretty as she ever has, 9 months preggo.

Cole Clark showing in the ranch horse class for the first time on Friday.
There were more puppies for sale this year I believe than years past.
Adrian Buckaroogirl singing songs from her soon to be released album outside of Tips booth....
The Schutte/Brown clan just being their general gorgeous, good lookin, handy selves.
Jim Ranch took home the buckle....again

Les Iveson had gorgeous engraved silver rings...for $40. They lasted about 20 minutes.

John Schutte won the stock horse challenge.

The Nevada Rancher's very own darling, Jolyn Laubacher, seen interviewing folks.
Cristi Walker seen wandering with another set of her beautiful stirrups....only flaw was the drool streaks she had to keep wiping off.
Gossip:   A fair sized group of buckaroo's rumored to be heading Down Under, will they return with accents?
The high selling horse this year supposedly went for 13,000 doll hairs.
Jack Paine knocked his head so hard in the bronc riding that he actually believes that he's a Rockette...don't be concerned if you see him practicing his kicks behind the chutes next weekend.
This year marked the 30th year that Shawn Goemmer got on a bucking horse...and boy did he show us how it should be done!
The youngest Brannan sister marking out Tub Blanthorn on the dance floor at Winners....do you think she got confused as to what a bronc is?
Catlin Martin overheard arguing his cooking abilities when it comes to Top Ramen.
A disgruntled Oregonian thought to be seen calling security on underage dancers in Winners Saturday night. Come on, like you didn't do it too back in the day?
Hope to see ya there next year, Dolls!!!
