I daydream about copywriting. Describing products sounds like so much fun to me for some reason.
I secretly really enjoy fixing fence. The sharp, quick twist of the wrist and pretty silver wire….loop this, thread it through this, tighten it up….twist again. Move on.
I catalog laughs like some people do taxes.
I read cookbooks like novels.
I think a gin and tonic is the best cure for a cold.
I am terrified at the thought of a “normal” first date. Small talk is the stuff my nightmares are made of….what are you supposed to do with this person on said date? All I can imagine is fleeing to the bathroom and escaping out the window.
I hate brushing my hair and will avoid it at all costs. It’s a “beachy” look, thank you very much.
I personally think I am the best bread maker since the 1800’s. I’m not even joking.
I think a dog is the best friend a girl could have.
I don’t know what a lemon, ricotta and almond flourless cake is, but I’m willing to find out.
I frequently look at people and silently wonder if they don’t own a full-length mirror.
I hate weddings. I believe in marriage but I’d rather have my fingernails pulled out than attend a wedding. I literally break out in hives. In fact, I feel a little itchy now….
I think fresh flowers are a necessity, not an expense.
I am the type of girl who you would think has the cleanest of cars….but it’s actually a pig-sty.
I hate shopping. If it has pockets, buy it for me. I’ll probably wear it.
I love to shoot. I don’t know the names of any guns and am not able to recognize anything I shoot. I am a good shot though with that black looking weapon.
I will absolutely never-ever give up my morning coffee routine….no matter how early it must occur in order to get where I'm headed on time.
I literally have a folder of photos entitled “Food Porn” to serve as inspiration for future meals. I’m not even kidding.
I love to buy high heels, lipstick, and frilly dresses. I end up wearing sneakers, Carmex and jeans 99.9% of the time.
What’s your list of weirdness that makes you, Youer Than You? I’d love to hear it! These little "oddities" that aren't exactly kosher should be the things that we celebrate about ourselves, not despise! Embrace what makes you different and YOU. There's no one better at it then you.
