A Link To Excitement

I'm still not feeling so chipper today, so I'm snuggled up on the couch with Roo with a mound of blankets to stave off the shivers and innumerable cups of tea to cure my flu. Tea fixes everything. It's a proven fact. If you don't believe me, go ask the Brits and they'll set you straight!

Here are some links I'm perusing on the web right now, hope you enjoy!

10 Step Guide for Making Your New Year's Resolutions  This guy knows what he's talking about, he wrote a book on habits.

I have made this Marlboro Man Sandwich and it is definitely Buckaroo Barbie approved!! The deliciousness is overwhelming and it's fast and easy!! The perfect lunch for when you're feeding hungry heifers, cows and horses all day long and the weather is rotten...this will warm you up! Gotta love the Pioneer Woman! :)

Today (January 6), is Epiphany, the Christian feast day that celebrates Jesus Christ being fully man while yet fully God. In Bulgaria they celebrate by throwing a wooden cross into an icy river, sea or lake and young men rescue it. These guys are seriously tough. Click HERE to read more!

I just ordered a lady leg pocket knife from Lil' Red Roan. I haven't had a pocket knife that I actually LIKE since I quit cowboying, so I can't wait till this one shows up!! Adrian and I wear Mindy's hoodies when we travel, around the house, when we work out, basically all the time...they're awesome! Go check Lil' Red Roan out!

180ยบ South is an amazing documentary that follows climber/surfer Jeff Johnson as he travels in the footsteps of his mentor Yvon Chouinard (founder of Patagonia), from my hometown of Ventura, CA to Patagonia. The cinematography is AMAZING, the adventure makes me want to take off on one of my own and these people's desire to preserve conservation is something I think those of us in the cowboy world will be impressed by! Seriously, go rent or buy this and be impressed....it impressed Adrian and I enough that A's signed up for rock climbing lessons tomorrow...I tremble to think of what she has in store for me!

I used my friend's lip balm at a Pre-New Year's Eve party the other night. The only time I felt like ME was when I used THIS Burt Bee's Tinted Lip Balm. Hopefully one day I'll be able to tell you the back story. Until then, don't judge and get some like I did.

I roped with an "American" poly for the first time when we were in Italy last year. I loved the feeling...anyone else rope with one of THESE? Think I'm going to get one!

Victoria's Secret is having their Semi-Annual Sale! Step up, step up! :)

I'm looking for a new pair of cowboy boots that I can ride in when we're at home and wear to concerts when we're on the road....What about THESE? I've always wanted a pair of Bonds!

If you need a good laughing session, read DAMN YOU AUTO CORRECT!

This is the only MUG I use now for tea or coffee. And it comes in my favorite color, turquoise. BAM.

Read THIS honest blog post by Cassi from Sweet and Wild...I really enjoyed it.

Who else thinks this is an amazing BOUQUET???

I'm thinking of dying my hair something close to THIS color.

  2. Hey Liz- I think the hair would be awesome! Also loved the flowers. We got so many amazingly gorgeous ones out of our garden this last year, I posted a ton of pics on my blog, each bouquet kept getting better. I too have made the Marlboro man sandwich and it was amazing! Ree Drummond enabled me to cook, lol! Also, on a couple other notes, the Bonds are awesome. You could wear those anywhere. I really love Twisted x, if you haven't, check them out, they're super comfey and look good. Also, I have roped with the red white and blue poly a little bit, and I liked the feel but I like the gold poly better. I don't really know why, maybe it just seems to have more life... Ha! That probably didn't help at all :-)

    1. Oh I HOPE that some day I can be a gardener and produce beautiful flowers!! But as it is now I seem to kill everything without even trying!! LOL I LOVE the Pioneer Woman! Her pictures are great and I can read her cookbooks like novels!! I'm almost pretty sure that I'm going to get a pair of Bonds...I've always wanted a pair and Adrian has some and says they're great. Oh how funny, and see I thought the red/white/blue poly had more life than the gold!! hahaha but mine is really old and worn out so maybe that's why!! Have a great week! :)
